National Pilot School of Software Engineering
近些年来，研究所教师主持国家自然科学基金重点项目2项，国家重点研发计划项目课题2项，国家重大专项课题3项，国家自然科学基金面上项目30余项，国家自然科学基金青年基金10余项，省级重点研发计划项目4项，省级自然科学基金10余项，省重大基础研究计划项目1项，省科技计划项目1项，国防预研10余项，国家支撑计划1项，横向课题100多项。
研究所学术成果丰硕，所发表的高水平论文覆盖了数据与知识工程领域所有顶级国际会议和刊物，包括SIGMOD、SIGKDD、VLDB、ICDE、NIPS、AAAI、IJCAI、TPAMI、TKDE、VLDB J、TNNLS、TCyb、TDSC、TII等，累计发表CCF A类文章40多篇，发表CCF B类文章70多篇，其它SCI和EI文章200多篇。获得发明专利80余项，著作权30余项。研究所获得了多个省部级奖项，包括：浙江省自然科学一等奖、陕西省科学技术二等奖；陕西省自然科学奖二等奖；电子工业部科技进步二等奖；国家教委科技进步二等奖等。研究所还获批1个教育部虚拟教研室，1个陕西省科技创新团队。
研究所面向国家与产业需求开展研究工作，重点与华为、浪潮等众多知名公司展开了广泛的合作研究，与中国电子科技集团、航空航天和兵器工业部、总参通信与测绘等相关的研究所有着深入的科研合作。研究所完成的系统和关键部件在军民领域得到了多项具体应用，包括应用到陆航自主化直升机、总参测绘、总参通信，兵工档案管理等等，并有完成的系统在国际通信展、澜沧江-湄公河合作展等国际展示舞台上得以展出并由中央媒体报道。
研究方向：
1、先进数据库技术
研究所面向先进数据库技术，重点突破基于新硬件的先进数据库核心引擎融合研发、面向多模态复杂数据的数据库核心引擎研发和自适应优化的数据库系统自治技术，全面提升国产化数据库的效能、自主可控性和场景适用性。然后在国家能源领域，面向微电网场景进行数据库集群的集成验证，实现科学研究技术的有效成果转化。
2、大数据优化处理及建模
在现实生活中，人们在设计方案规划时总体上反映了“最大化效益,最小化成本”，这一基本优化原则，在合作对策问题中如何求解最优策略以获得共赢目标，在非合作对策中如何使自己的利益实现最大，对方受益最小等问题实际上都是一个优化问题。研究所针对大数据领域的大规模并行与分布式计算、任务调度、多序列对比等各类应用问题，建立的优化模型，研究高效的优化算法。
3、数据挖掘和机器学习
研究所致力于有效利用文本、图像、视频、图数据、基因组学数据、轨迹与移动数据等复杂数据中的有用信息提升机器智能，并在嵌入式系统实现相关软硬件开发、设计与优化，最终将成果技术应用于智慧交通、智慧医疗、电子商务等领域，提升经济社会效益。
